A simple but engaging economy game, nice way to wile away the the hours in a fairly relaxing game. Not as complex as some economy games, but that's a good thing sometimes.. This is notihng like what i thought it was going to be i thought it would be like Port Royal 3 with better Ship battles which it does have better ship battles but it is nothing like Port Royal 3 with its trading system.. TL;DR -- OK variant of the Patrician series set in the Med, but the price is way too high unless at 75% discountI still think Patrician III was the best of the lot. Patrician IV and this one dumbed things down in exchange for more modern graphics. If you like Italy, RoV of course is a good addition. But anything above $5 is too much for it.Buy goods low, take your ship to somewhere to sell high. Get warehouses in other cities. Get more ships. Avoid pirates and the illogical naval combat system. Build production facilities in other cities. Go on special missions. Repeat.. Starts off well, but other than the absolute basics nothing is explained and the UI is confusing. There is pretty much no purpose to the "detailed 3D-graphics" since they convey no information and in fact only distract from trying to click the right thing of view production details. Even if you get past all that and try to get into the game, it's incredibly shallow. I played for several hours and eventually was just completely bored. There's just not enough here.
